Milton Perry Tolle, son of Rachel Jane (Davis) and Elijah Tolle, was born 31 Jul 1843 in Adams County, Ohio. He served in the Civil War in Company I, 182nd Ohio. On 29 Nov 1866 he married Adaline Wilson Black. She was born 9 Apr 1848 in Adams County, Ohio, the daughter of Lydia (Smith) and Zachariah Black. Milton's occupation was listed as a cooper in the 1870 census of Adams County. Sometime between 1870 & 1880 he moved his family to Wilson County, Kansas where he was found on the 1880 census. From the births of their eight children, if my data is correct, they moved from Ohio to Kansas and then Rockford, Illinois and back to Kansas. Milton died 23 Sep 1887 at the age of 44 years, 1 month and 23 days, and is buried in the Morehead cemetery in Neosho County, Kansas (located 1 mile west of Morehead in Shilo Twp). His tombstone gives his complete name and death date, age at death and military data. His grave is marked by a headstone, a foot stone and a military star marker. Adeline applied for his Civil War Pension on 12 Mar 1891 (application #506259 and certificate #341081) She moved to Blaine County, Oklahoma and on 5 Aug 1902 she married there to James Henry Gable Humphreys. It was the 2nd marriage for both. His daughter later married one of her sons. Adaline Wilson (Black)(Tolle) Humphreys died in Blaine County, Oklahoma on 2 May 1915 and is buried in the Richland Cemetery, Geary, Blaine County, Oklahoma.

• WILLIAM L. TOLLE⁸ born 30 Dec 1867 and died 22 May 1869 at the age of about 1 1/2 in Adams County, Ohio.
• CAREY MILTON TOLLE⁸ born 23 Oct 1869 in Adams County, Ohio. He married on 3 Jan 1889 to Annie Donahoo in Wilson County, Kansas.They had 3 children surnamed TOLLE: John Wesley, Jesse or Orville (conflict); and Clyde. He died at the age of 67 in Blaine County, Oklahoma on 27 Jun 1939 and is buried in the Geary Cemetery there.
• IZELLA JANE TOLLE⁸ born 13 Jun 1872 in Neosho County, Kansas. On 15 Nov 1888 in Neosho County, Kansas she was married to John Edward Donahoo. They had 8 known children surnamed DONAHOO: Emery Wesley, Alva E., Ornel L., Adaline Jane, Cora, Opal, Paul, and Walter. (birth order not determined as yet) Izella and John Donahoo divorced and about 1909 she married 2nd to John William Hulse and they had one daughter Vida Irene HULSE. Izella married 3rd William A. Bramstetter Jan 1919. Her 4th marriage was to John Henry Murray. They lived in Yakima Washington where she died on 13 Jul 1940 and is buried in the Tahoma Cemetery there.
• ALVADORE HAMER TOLLE⁸ aka Alvah was born 24 Apr 1875 in Neosho County, Kansas. He married Effie Ola Smith on 17 May 1903 in Blaine County, Oklahoma. They had 7 children surnamed TOLLE: Raymond Allen, Elma, Everett Leverne, Ina Mabel, Florence Gertrude, Olive Irene, and Lila Lenore. Effie died 15 Jun 1935 and is buried in the Etna Cemetery in Blaine County, Oklahoma. Alvah married Aidee King in 1939. He died 11 Apr 1952 in Blaine County, Oklahoma and is buried in the Etna Cemetery there.
• EMERY WESLEY TOLLE⁸ born 3 Jun 1879 in Neosho County, Kansas. He married Ada W. Burns on 18 Oct 1906 in Blaine County, Oklahoma and they had 7 children surnamed TOLLE: Lula May, Julia Ellen, Zelma, Ella N., Leona A,. Ada Ina, and Emery Wesley Jr. He died on 22 Jul 1938 in Blaine County, Oklahoma and is buried in the Geary Cemetery there.
• SAMUEL MINER TOLLE⁸ born 22 Jul 1881 in Montgomery County, Kansas. He married on 5 Sep 1906 in Blaine County, Oklahoma to Minnie Velma Coil. They had 3 children surnamed Tolle: Leona Etta, Lawrence Hulse, and Moretta Mae. He died in 1943 and I have conflicting data regarding the end of his life. He is buried in the Geary cemeery in Blaine County, Oklahoma.
• RORA ALDEN TOLLE⁸ aka Roy was born 31 May 1884 in Winnebago County, Illinois. He married before 1910 to Martha Ann Coil and they had one child Lola Evelyn TOLLE. I have no further info on him.
• MARTIN PERRY TOLLE ⁸ born 21 Sep 1887 in Neosho County, Kansas. He married his stepsister Edna Alma Humphreys on 26 Nov 1908 in Blaine County, Oklahoma. They had 3 children surnamed TOLLE: Lena Moncella, Clarence Eugene, and Mearl Alden. Edna died 3 Jan 1919 and he married 2nd Myrdella Mertz on 25 Apr 1922. Martin and Myrdella had one child B.J. TOLLE. Martin jPerry died 4 Apr 1950 in Blaine County, Oklahoma and is buried there in the Geary Cemetery.
