Micajah Tolle, son of Charlotte (Bean) and Jose Tolle Sr, was born 8 Mar 1812 in Lewis County, Kentucky. His name is found in some records as "Caja" "Mica" or "Micah". He was married in Highland County, Ohio on 2 Sep 1841 to Catherine Wright. He was listed as a voter in Adams County, Ohio in 1840, but when he loaned some money to his parents in 1844, he was a resident of Newport, in Campbell County, Kentucky. He purchased land in the town of Newport on 2 Nov 1847, where his name was spelled as TOOLE. On the 1850 census he is listed as engineer. He was on the tax lists there for 1849 through 1858 with one town lot. He was involved in his father's probate in 1859. He is listed in the Cincinnati Directories for 1860 through 1863n 1860 and 1861 he resided on Columbia between Jefferson & Madison. For the 1862 directory, he is listed as an Engineer, residing at 176 W. 3rd, and 1863 he resided at 343 W. Liberty Street. At the present time, the death dates for Micajah and his wife Catherine are unknown.

Sarah Tolle, daughter of Charlotte (Bean) and Jose Tolle Sr, was born 12 Sep 1814 in Lewis County, Kentucky. She married in Highland County, Ohio on 3 Jul 1838 to Hamilton Alexander. The marriage was performed by Benjamin F. Pulliam JP. Sarah had three children, but died on 15 Jan 1855, at the age of 40 years, 4 months, and 3 days.

Harrison Tolle, son of Charlotte (Bean) and
Jose Tolle Sr, was born 14 Jun 1818 in Lewis County,
Kentucky. He was married in Highland County, Ohio on 7 Apr
1843 to Rachel Ann Naylor. Harrison was on the 1840-1841
voter list of Adams County, Ohio. In July of 1841 he bought
fifty acres in Highland County from his parents, and he is
listed as a taxpayer there by 1843. On 18 Sep 1848 he sold
that land and another 115 acres were purchased on 23 Mar
1849. There are two other deeds in his name, on 27 Mar 1862
and 6 Apr 1862. He is listed as a farmer on the 1850 and
1860 census and in 1800 a Minister of the Gospel. He was
involved in his father's probate in 1859. In 1860 he was
admitted to the Southern Ohio Christian Conference. He was
ordained in 1862. One Biography says:"He was reared on a farm home, educated
in
a country school and married in early manhood. They began
housekeeping in Concord Township and lived there until 1862
when they bought 165 acres in Bell Survey in Clay Township,
and built a two-story house on the East end of what is now
(1956) the Tom Pitzer farm. He was engaged in the ministry
of the New Light Church for nearly 40 years, assigned to
various congregations".
He has
been quoted as saying:
"I have
preached about three thousand sermans, and have received
about $900 in money".
Harrison died on 16 Apr 1881 in Highland County, of Bronchitis. He was age 62 years, 10 months, and 2 days. Rachel died on 24 Apr 1896 of Pneumonia at age 72 years, 3 months, and 29 days. They are buried in Mowrystown, White Oak Township, Highland County, Ohio.

Juliann Tolle, daughter of Charlotte (Bean) and Jose Tolle was born 23 Mar 1820 in Lewis County, Kentucky. She married James O. Bayless on an unknown date, probably in Adams County, Ohio. Not much is currently known about this family, except they were in Winchester Township, in Adams County, Ohio when James Bayless' name appeared on an 1848 voters list. Juliann (Tolle) Bayless died 5 Jan 1852, at the age of 31 years, 2 months, and 12 days.

Frances Ann Tolle, daughter of Charlotte (Bean) and Jose Tolle Sr, was born 9 Jul 1822 in Lewis County, Kentucky. She married James Harvey Darling on 26 Apr 1840, in Adams County, Ohio. The parents of James Darling were dead, and his guardian Elisha Brown gave permission. Their witnesses were Jose Robinett & H. Tolle. This family was found in the Ohio census records over the years in Brown County in 1840, Highland County in 1850, and Pike County in 1860. Her name was listed in the probate of yer father in 1859. Not much is currently known of their later years, but Frances Ann (Tolle) Darling died in Nebraska on 15 Dec 1885.

WILLIAM GALLANEOUS TOLLE6 (Jose/Joseph Sr5; Jonathan4; Roger3; Tobias2; Roger1)
William Gallaneous Tolle, son of Charlotte (Bean) and Jose Tolle, was born 9 Apr 1824 in Lewis County, Kentucky. He married Charlotte Downing on 4 Mar 1847 in Adams County, Ohio. Seth Van Metre JP performed the service. Charlotte was born 6 Oct 1825, the daughter of Rutha (Butler) and Mesheck Downing. They had three children, and then Charlotte died on 8 Dec 1851. She is buried in the Locust Grove Cemetery in Adams County, Ohio. William married again to Catherine Tenner about 1853, and they had two more children before she too died on 15 Dec 1857. She is also buried in the Locust Grove Cemetery. William married for a third time on 1 Apr 1858 to Catherine Ann Conaway. Catherine was born 2 Sep 1833, daughter of Maranda (Cochan) and Nimrod Conaway. This service was performed by Addison Hite. They increased the family by another nine children. William was the executor for his father's estate in 1859. When the Civil War began, William enlisted as a Private on 15 Sep 1862 in Company E. of the 1st Ohio Heavy Artillery. He was described as age 38, 5'7" tall, with light complexion and hair, and blue eyes. He was discharged on 20 Jun 1865. The census records indicate that he was a carpenter, and he was found in Adams County in 1860 and 1870, and then in 1880 he was in Highland County. On 1 Mar 1867, he was a witness to the will of Ira Hammon. Through the years his name is found in the deed books of both Adams and Pike Counties. He applied for a pension for his military service on July 1882, and in 1883 he was on the list receiving $8.00 per month #215656. His disability was given as Epilepsy, and his address as Sinking Spring, Highland County, Ohio. William died on 6 Sep 1903 and Catherine Ann (Conaway) Tolle died 11 Feb 1911. They are both buried in Pleasant Hill, in the Village of Sinking Spring, Brush Creek Township, Highland County, Ohio.

Jose Tolle, was born 10 Jun 1827 in Lewis County, Kentucky.
She married Robert B. Downing on 31 Oct 1850 in Adams
County, Ohio. He was born 3 Jul 1820, the son of Rutha
(Butler) and Mesheck Downing. Matilda was listed in the
probate of her father in 1859. They were in Adams County,
Ohio in 1850 but moved to Davis County, Iowa before 1860.
Robert died on 15 Jan 1891, and Matilda died on 21 Jul 1894.
They are buried in the Troy Cemetery in Davis County,

Jose Tolle Jr, son of Charlotte (Bean) and Jose Tolle, was born 10 Jan 1829 in Lewis County, Kentucky. He married Sarah Newland in Adams County, Ohio on 15 May 1852. Sarah was born 14 May 1832, and her parents were Sarah (Brumley) and Isaac Newland. Jose is listed with his father's probate in 1859. During the Civil War, he served in Company K. of 110th Regiment Ohio Volunteer Infantry. He was on all of the census records for Adams County, Ohio from 1850 through 1880. Jose was a mechanic and farmer. He recorded a copyright for a churn improvement in his name. He also made a perpetual motion machine that at one time was on display at Serpent Mound in Adams County. On 11 Oct 1875 Jose applied for a pension for his Civil War service (application #208789, certificate #498383). His name is shown as Jose TOLL in this record. Sarah applied for a widows pension on 6 Jul 1889 (application #347759, certificate #305362). William had died nearly five months earlier on 24 Feb 1886, at his home in Franklin Township in Adams County, Ohio. He was age 57 years, 1 month, and 14 days. Some of his burial expenses included $18.00 for a coffin; clothing for $7.00, digging the grave for $1.50, at a total of $27.10. Sarah (Newland) Tolle died on 25 Jun 1897, and they are both buried in the Locust Grove Cemetery, Franklin Township, Adams County, Ohio, but Sarah's name isn't on the marker.

Andrew Jackson Tolle, son of Charlotte (Bean) and Jose Tolle, was born 8 Mar 1832 in Mason County, Kentucky. He married about 1856 to Margaret J. Elgin and they had six children. He was on the list for the probate of his father in 1859. He was still in Adams County in 1850, but wasn't found in 1860. He served in the Civil War in Company C. of the 48th Ohio Volunteer Army. He moved to Highland County, Ohio where he is listed as a blacksmith in all the census years of 1870 through 1920. Margaret died 9 Feb 1898, and he remarried on 26 Jul 1898 to Mary Elizabeth Hunter. Andrew died in Highland County in 1822, and he and Margaret (Elgin) are buried in the Buford Cemetery in Clay Township, Highland County, Ohio.

Evaline Tolle, daughter of Charlotte (Bean)
and Jose Tolle, was born 23 Feb 1834 in Adams County, Ohio.
she married Ralph Allen Clark on Adams County on 15 Apr
1852. Ralph was born 26 Feb 1829. Evaline is listed in her
father's probate record in 1859. Ralph served in the Civil
War in the 70th Ohio Infantry. He enlisted on 26 Feb 1864,
and was discharged on 15 Jan 1865. His description was given
as age 35, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, with blue eyes, fair
complexion, and brown hair. He received a pension for this
service from 1875 until 1910, and Evaline collected it after
that until her death. Ralph and Evaline appeared
consistantly on the census records of Adams County for 1860
through 1910. Ralph Clark died on 13 May 1910, and Evaline
(Tolle) Clark died on 21 Jul 1915, at the age of 81 years, 4
months, and 28 days. They are buried in the Locust Grove
Cemetery in Adams County, Ohio.
