They were married by Samuel Helms, and the bondsman was Enoch F. Staggs. Lucinda was born about 1805, duaghter of Malissa (Burns) and Samuel Staggs. During the years of 1846 through 1850 he appeared as witness or security to the wills of several people in Platte and Buchanan Counties. George was found in the census records of Buchanan County in 1850 through 1870. His occupation was listed as School Teacher. He was named as an heir in his father's will of 1863-1869. He seemed to be considered a respectable citizen, because in a letter that Kit Karson wrote to General Fisk on 11 jun 1864, George D. Tolle was referred to as a reliable person to contact for verification of his (Kit's) claims about conditions of that area during the Civil War. He was also mentioned in the Draper Collection, and some Staggs probates. It isn't known at this time just when he died, or where he is buried.
